ABOUT THE SPEEDMASTER PRODUCT

SpeedMaster Skate Bearings^TM are made for just that, Skating. All SpeedMaster Bearings are made for top skate performance by using only precision components that are specifically designed and tested for skating. From our heat treated, deep groove races with three stages of honing, to the heat treated, ground round and polished chrome molly steel balls and custom made skate retainers for strength, quality and skate performance is what we are about. Combine the quality components with high speed lubricants for long life and high speed performance. SpeedMaster Bearings are designed with skater input from around the world.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

ABEC GRADE:
When choosing the Abec grade, the factors to be considered are your style of skating and special skate requirements. The higher the Abec rating, the higher the quality and precision component fit. The titanium and ceramic SpeedMaster Bearings offer longer life and increased speed due to the increased metal hardness and higher precision tolerances exploding them off the Abec rating chart.

DESIGN:
All SpeedMaster Bearings offer skaters critical design for load-carrying capability and maximum operating speed. SpeedMaster Bearings offer high polish, deep grooves, and inner and outer chrome molly steel rings that can handle radial and thrust loads in either direction. Our cages are made of Delrin/polymide materials for high speed and strength. Our balls are made in 52100 heat treated chrome molly steel, ground round and polished to perfection. Our custom shields and seals are designed to help prevent particulate contamination from reaching critical surfaces. All SpeedMaster Bearings are completely serviceable for cleaning and maintenance.

LUBE:
SpeedMaster bearing lubes are either a light oil or grease formulated for pure speed, long life, and high temperatures. We have also added corrosion inhibitors and water repellent to help stop rust. Our skate lubes can operate from -250 to 4000F and offer a number of definite advantages. SpeedMaster skate lubes have been developed over years of testing with skaters worldwide.

All SpeedMaster Bearings are inspected and tested prior to shipment to ensure top quality workmanship and performance.

MICRO BEARINGS

Warning: Be cautious of other micro bearings that may not be reinforced. SpeedMaster guarantees the bearing from breaking for life.

There Are Three Major Advantages The 688 Micro Bearings Have Over The 608 Standard Bearings:

1. LESS WEIGHT
The 688 micro bearings weigh 30% of the weight of a standard 608 bearing. Even when combined with our patented micro sleeves, the weight is less than 50%.

2. QUICKER ACCELERATION
The 688 micro bearings offer quicker acceleration and spool up.

3. LESS ROLLING RESISTENCE = FASTER
The 688 micro bearings also offer lower rolling resistance due to its 9-ball design which allows for better weight distribution on two balls over one.

What are bearing sleeves? Great question. SpeedMaster Micro Bearing Sleeves allow for a 688 micro bearing to be used in a standard 608 bearing seat size. The sleeves can be used in wheels with or without cores. We offer micro sleeves in two materials today. One is a fiber composite and the second is a high-quality CNC aircraft aluminum sleeve. SpeedMaster Bearing Sleeves are easily changeable from wheel set to wheel set and they are available in four colors in fiber composite material or silver in the CNC aluminum sleeves.
